Five days from kickoff to proof of concept

Sign up your team with each member's name and preferred email address.

2. Kickoff · Nov 5

At Volta in downtown Halifax, our community partners present their problem statements and onboard you on what to expect.

3. Build with a mentor

Your team is matched with an RBC mentor and works on a solution to one of the two problem statements.

4. Submit · Nov 8

Hand in your GitHub repository and proof-of-concept PowerPoint before 11:59 PM on Sunday, Nov 8.

Teams present their proof of concept in person at the Hub to judges, RBC executives and mentors. Winners are announced, and lunch is provided.

All times are Atlantic Time (Halifax). Late submissions are not accepted.

Who can join? Recent graduates and students who are near graduation, who did not take part in RBC HubHacks last year.

How to register

  1. Registration opens

    Students can start signing up their teams.

  2. Registration closes

    Last day to sign up your team.

  3. Kickoff In person

    At Volta, 1800 Argyle St, Unit 801, Halifax, NS B3J 3N8. Community partners present their problem statements and onboard teams. Teams meet their RBC mentors.

  4. Build Virtual

    Over the long weekend, teams design and build their proof-of-concept solutions. Mentors support each team with two virtual meetings, with flexibility for more.

  5. Submissions due

    GitHub repository and proof-of-concept PowerPoint, submitted through the submission form.

  6. Present & winners announced In person

    At the Hub, teams present their proof of concept to judges, RBC executives, mentors and colleagues. While judging runs, students join workshops and networking with RBC executives and recruitment teams, including RBC Boost and RBC Propel. Winners are announced and lunch is provided.
